(New York, NY - July 1st, 2013) - My Block/Columbia Records duo, WE tv stars Mary Mary have closed out the month of June with a bang. The ladies, who kicked off Black Music Month on the cover of Ebony Magazine's June issue, took home the BET Award for Best Gospel Group during last evening's live telecast of the BET Awards. The win continues an incredible string of accolades from the top music award shows this year including: The Grammy Awards, The NAACP Image Awards, The Stellar Awards and more.
The win also comes at a unique time in the ladies' career. Erica Campbell of Mary Mary is releasing solo material and Tina Campbell of Mary Mary is prepping for the release of her upcoming book, still the ladies have assured the public that the group will remain in tact even while each Campbell sister explores individual projects and opportunities. Mary Mary has several performance dates together throughout the remainder of the year.
The Urban and Gospel music superstar duo is currently enjoying the success of their originally scripted WE tv reality series, "Mary Mary" now in its third season which was ranked by Nielsen Media as the #1 TV show for African American women in their timeslot on cable. "Mary Mary" secured a CableFAX Award in the faith-based category for Best Show or Series. Interactive One's Digital Gospel Music Awards listed "Go Get It" as Best Gospel Video of the Year. Season 3 will premier in the coming months.
